B Rappers Street Anime Reveals More Cast, April 11 Premiere

Series of shorts airs within morning children's program

The official website for the B Rappers Street anime revealed more cast members and the show's April 11 premiere on Friday. The anime will premiere on April 11 within the Ota-Suta ("Good Morning Star") children's television program on TV Tokyo and its affiliates.

Taketo Shinkai (GraP & RodeO, Ahare! Meisaku-kun) and Yūtarō Sawada (Inui-san!) are both directing and penning the script at Pie in the sky. Haruka Suzuki is designing the characters.

Subaru Kimura is starring in the show as the character Yo!Hey, a boy who raps to the beat of his farts. Other cast members include Daiki Hamano as the alien rapper One Puck, Kaede Hondo as both the heroine Dakemi-chan and Yo!Hey's pet dog DJ Ken, and Takuya Nakashima as the rapper Big Bū. The main four cast members will also perform the show's theme song "B Rappers no Theme" under the unit name B Rappers Crew.

The project is a collaboration between Shogakukan, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Sony Music Entertainment, and Sony Music Communications, and features a theme of rap and hip-hop.

Artist Kōhei launched a manga adaptation in the April issue of Coro Coro Comics on Friday.
