Indian manga creator duo Masterlynx announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday that they will launch their Japan debut manga Kung Fu Kung Fool on Kadokawa's KadoComi website on May 15. The manga creators hail from Amravati in Maharashtra.

The self-taught team comprises two brothers who have been creating manga for four years. They began drawing manga in 2022 and have freelanced as amateur manga artists since then. The duo entered Kadokawa's Wordless World Manga Contest in 2025 and won the Silver Prize with their one-shot Heartsteel.

For Kung Fu Kung Fool, Masterlynx has been working closely with their editor to bring the story to life in Japanese. The team discuss the story and scenes together and then work on the dialogue collaboratively in English. “We keep refining it until we are satisfied with it,” stated Masterlynx, “After that, our editor, Mr. O, translates the dialogue into Japanese for serialization.”

Regarding the possibility of an international release for Kung Fu Kung Fool, Masterlynx stated:

We would absolutely love for “Kung Fu Kung Fool” to receive an international release someday. At the moment, that decision is not entirely up to us, so we can't say for certain, but we truly hope readers around the world will get the chance to enjoy it in the future!
