In a career that spanned more than 70 years, Kon Ichikawa did many acclaimed literary adaptations, and this is one of his finest from the '80s, a visually stunning film about fading traditions in the modern world.

X-Cross (Ekusu-Kurosu)
Director: Kenta Fukasaku

Friday, June 20, 11:59 p.m., Majestic Crest Theatre
