Scotland Loves Anime 2012 Back for its Third Year and Bigger than Ever!

Scotland Loves Animation are excited to announce the return of the immensely successful Scotland Loves Anime film festival. Entering its third year, the festival welcomes yet more premieres, talks and workshops, including one world premiere, over nine days. The festival will run from 12th-14th October at the GFT in Glasgow and 19th – 21st October at the Filmhouse in Edinburgh.

Highlights will include a stellar line-up of some of the freshest anime films; the Judge's Award category in which industry guests select the best of the festival; an Education Day hosted by Edinburgh College of Art with industry experts discussing all aspects of anime; and cult film screenings of Ninja Scroll (which has been restored in HD) and Tokyo Shark Attack.

The festival will also be attended by a selection of amazing guests from the field of anime in the UK, Europe and beyond over both weekends. The Edinburgh guests will include long time festival supporter, Jonathan Clements.

Scotland Loves Anime will be screening a range of films at the same time they air in Japan. As always, this will be the only chance to see many of these films theatrically in the next year.
