Crunchyroll to Simulcast Infinite Stratos 2 Anime Series for Fall 2013
San Francisco, Calif. (October 2, 2013) – Crunchyroll, Inc., has acquired the anime series Infinite Stratos 2 as part of its fall simulcasts, and is set to broadcast every Thursday starting on October 3, 2013 at 12:00pm Pacific Time for its premium members, with free members able to watch one week later. Infinite Stratos 2 will be available to Crunchyroll's members in the following territories: USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Ireland, and South Africa.
The second season of the first Infinite Stratos series, Infinite Stratos 2 is being directed by returning director Yasuhito Kikuchi, with animation production by 8-Bit. Infinite Stratos takes place in a world where powered exoskeletons called “Infinite Stratos” (IS) can only be piloted by women, except for high-schooler Ichika Orimura. As a result, he has been sent to the prestigious Infinite Stratos Academy to train as an IS pilot, surrounded by a bevy of girls.
Voice actor Kouki Uchiyama, whose other roles include Yoshino Takigawa in Blast of Tempest and Meruem in Hunter x Hunter, reprises his role as Ichika, and Yoko Hikasa, Mio Akiyama from K-ON! and Diana Cavendish from Little Witch Academia, returns as well as Ichika's childhood friend Houki Shinonono.
