Seven Seas Licenses Nagata Kabi's 'My Pancreas Broke, But My Life Got Better' Manga and My Lesbian Experience With Loneliness: Special Edition Hardcover

(March 22, 2023) – Seven Seas Entertainment is pleased to announce the license acquisition of the manga My Pancreas Broke, But My Life Got Better by Nagata Kabi, the newest diary manga from the Harvey Award-winning creator of My Wandering Warrior Existence. Seven Seas will also rerelease the author's first manga in the series, My Lesbian Experience With Loneliness, in a special edition hardcover with a brand-new cover and bonus chapter.

In this new autobiographical manga following My Wandering Warrior Existence, Nagata Kabi has quit drinking in an attempt to get healthier–or she's trying to, anyway. Her former struggles with alcohol led to pancreatitis and a serious hospitalization, and now she has no choice but to give it up. Follow the author as she details the quest to improve her health during a global pandemic.

Nagata Kabi's initial diary manga in the series, My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness, first debuted in English in 2017. The raw and heartfelt account of one young woman's struggles with her sexuality, mental well-being, and feelings of alienation was released in a single-volume paperback edition that won multiple awards and garnered critical acclaim from across the globe. In 2023, Seven Seas will rerelease that intensely personal and insightful work in a hardcover special edition that features new cover art and an all-new bonus chapter by the author.

My Pancreas Broke, But My Life Got Better will be released for the first time in North America in November 2023 for $14.99 USA / $18.99 CAN, with the book available in a single large-trim paperback edition. An ebook edition will also be available on digital platforms.
