NEW YORK, NY (August 22, 2025) – Milan Records today releases GACHIAKUTA (ORIGINAL SERIES SOUNDTRACK EP) featuring music by composer TAKU IWASAKI. Available everywhere now, the album features original music written by Iwasaki for the first season of the darkly dystopian anime series. Today's release is the first of new music to arrive from the series and is set to be followed by a full season 1 soundtrack album. Based on the best-selling manga of the same name, Gachiakuta is available now to stream on Crunchyroll – watch here.

In a floating city where the rich discard their waste—and people—Rudo is framed for murder and thrown into the Pit, where a hellscape of mutated garbage beasts' dwell. ABOUT TAKU IWASAKI
Taku Iwasaki began studying composition at an early age and has won awards at competitions such as the Kanagawa Prefecture Choral Composition Contest and the Japan Society for Contemporary Music Composition Competition. After graduating from the Department of Composition at Tokyo University of the Arts, he started his career as a composer and arranger. He is now active across a wide range of musical fields, from producing vocal albums to sound production for film and television scores. His major works include Shin Kamen Rider, Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Bungo Stray Dogs, The irregular at magic high school, City Hunter: The Movie and GACHIAKUTA.
