Power Morphicon Announces First Guests, Koichi & Motoko Sakamoto Returning, Kane Kosugi from Kakuranger to Make his Debut
Pasadena, CA - Power Morphicon, the world's largest Power Rangers convention, is proud to announce its first guests for their ninth show in 2026. Kane Kosugi will be making his debut to meet fans from all over the world at Power Morphicon. Making their return after attending the very first Power Morphicon in 2007, Koichi and Motoko Sakamoto.
The three-day event will be held on August 28th - 30th, 2026, at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Kane Kosugi, best known for his role as Jiraiya, Ninja Black, from Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, will be making his debut to meet fans from all over the world at Power Morphicon. Kane's also known for being the only actor to star in four tokusatsu franchises (Kakuranger, Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero, Godzilla: Final Wars, and Kamen Rider Revice the Movie: Battle Familia).
Motoko Sakamoto, best known for her role as A-Squad Pink in Power Rangers SPD, has had both on-screen and in-suit roles over the years in various seasons of Power Rangers, Ultraman, Godzilla, Gridman, and in video games such as Dino Crisis 2, Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Onimusha, and Metal Gear Solid 2.
Kōichi Sakamoto is best known for his work as director and producer for numerous tokusatsu work in various seasons of Power Rangers, Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Garo. Outside of tokusatsu, Koichi's credits include Disney's Wendy Wu, Broken Path, Extreme Heist, and Tamura Yuto: ISOLATED.
Shout! Factory has officially released Ninja Sentai Kakuranger (2016) and Power Rangers (2017) on DVD in North America.

Power Morphicon is a three-day event held every two years that celebrates Power Rangers and related series such as VR Troopers, Beetleborgs, Kamen Rider, Superhuman Syber Squad, Super Sentai, and anything else tokusatsu-related. The three-day event brings in over 10,000 attendees from all over the world to participate in cosplay, Q&A panels with guests, prop/FX workshops, martial arts classes/demos, and optional events such as VIP dinner and breakfast with some of the guests. Power Morphicon is a local business owned by Scott Zillner and is an event that is directed by an all volunteer staff.
