Ryokuoushoku Shakai Release Their New Song "Shirushi"

Tokyo, Japan — Japanese band Ryokuō-shoku Shakai released their new song “Shirushi” on April 9.

The song was specially written as the theme song to Japanese TV drama A Moonlight Nights Passing, which started this April. Composed by the band's bassist Shingo Anami and arranged by ha-j, the track explores how, as we grow into adulthood, we often find ourselves living for something other than ourselves. In the midst of everyday life, it seeks to reclaim the personal story we risk losing along the way, delivering a message that affirms the courage to live freely and authentically, like a child, guided by the heart.

“As we become adults, we take on more roles, at work and in our families, and somewhere along the way, we begin to lose sight of ourselves. When I read the original story and the script, I found myself thinking, 'I really understand this,' again and again. No matter how old you are, that shouldn't matter. I hope this song can be an opportunity for people to put themselves first again. I'm truly excited to see what kind of journey lies ahead,” said Haruko Nagaya, who wrote the lyrics.
