Kodansha Game Lab Brings the Heat With Updates to Three Titles For This Summer Along With New Game Announcement
TOKYO, Japan (May 28, 2026) – Multimedia publisher Kodansha announced new summer title updates to their indie game publishing division, Kodansha Game Lab. Last year's critically acclaimed and award-winning title, and Roger, will be releasing June 18th for iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch 2; Wabisabi SushiDerby, an adorable and frantic sushi racing title, will ring up its order on July 15th for STEAM and Nintendo Switch 2; and fan-favorite co-op puzzle platformer BOKURA will be available for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 and 5 later this summer. Since 2020 Kodansha Game Lab has been creating new opportunities for gamers from around the world to immerse themselves in unique stories. A mobile version of this award-winning interactive narrative adventure title from developer yona will be arriving on iOS and Android along with a Switch 2 edition on June 18, 2026 for $4.99. and Roger follows the twisting and mysterious events surrounding a girl who wakes up to find her father missing. Uncover this emotional story through interactive on-screen prompts, gorgeous art, and stirring music in a truly unique title that will stay with players long after the credits roll.
Wabisabi SushiDerby
Make, train, and race delicious sushi in this adorable racing simulation title from ITAMAE STUDIO, available July 15, 2026 for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. In this quirky game, players craft and train sushi to race against other hot-footed sushi to become grand champion of the S1 Galaxy Cup. Train your sushi and outfit them with skills to gain the edge against the competition. Cheer them on to avoid hungry customers; once they grab your racer with their chopsticks it's the end of the road for them. But no problem; sushi is meant to be eaten and more can easily be made to continue the journey.
BOKURA
Originally released in 2023, this captivating co-op puzzle platformer comes to Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 4 and 5 this summer. Two runaways find themselves lost as they are perceiving the world around them differently. Players must work together to solve puzzles and unlock the mysteries surrounding them. Developed by tokoronyori, this co-op title asks how people must overcome differences in how they see the world through their eyes to communicate and overcome obstacles. Because of the unique co-op gameplay, both players will need to own a copy of BOKURA to play.
