May I ask exactly what is so "exceptionally politically incorrect" about Clannad: After story? I saw it -- once -- and I cannot recall anything (offhand, anyway) that might be offensive in that regard. |

Well, not many series go ahead and spoiler[kill a little kid, particularly a little kid alongside her dad. Granted, they come back thanks to the Groundhog Life Effect and/or Robot Dragonballs, but still.] Aside from that though, I don't remember too much. Oh wait, spoiler[Nagisa's parents leaving her home alone and I'm pretty sure the same parents leave Ushio to wander wherever she wants to in the city.] Probably "politically incorrect" wouldn't be the case though, more "socially incorrect" perhaps.

I don't think it's an "incorrect" choice in any given situation. spoiler[ Killing a kid in a show used to be an unwritten rule in books and stuff but anyone that does do it isn't making a poor choice at all]. I mean it was exceptionally emotional and very well done, just because it's overly sad doesn't make it incorrect.
