Ok I got a couple of questions regarding the series/movies
spoiler[1.What were the Angels purposes for wanting to destroy the human race? 2.What exactly is Kaworu? I know he's an angel but it seems that theres more to that. Is he the same as Rei? And what was his purpose in end of evangelion? 3.How did Rei have the power to start the third impact?? 4.For this question I think I know the answer but I just want to make sure. Are the souls of the mothers of the pilots inside of the evas? and is that whats controlling them aside from the pilots?] Any help would be appreciated, thanks... |

Well it's hard to answer your questions since Eva is left open for interpretation.. but I shall try..
Some of the answer can be stated as fact, since they were taken from the Red Cross Book, which was handed out at the Japanese showing of the Eva movie. You can find a translation of it Here 1. spoiler[The angels aren't trying to destroy the human race, but are rather trying to return to Adam. They only attack because we attack them first, which is understandable since an Angel coming in contact with Adam would cause third impact.] 2.spoiler[ Kaworu is an Angel, and Rei is made with Lillith's and Yui's DNA,so in that respect, he is like Rei. Also, Kaworu contains the soul of Adam, while Rei contains the soul of Lillith. In EoE he serves mainly to help Shinji make his choice on whether to have the single consciousness or to keep things as they were. ] 3.spoiler[Rei was made partly from Lillith's DNA, and contained Lillith's soul, and was therefore able to merge with Lillith, and begin third impact. ] 4. spoiler[Yes, the mothers of the pilots are inside the Evas. In the case of Unit 0, it's never explained whose soul is inside it. I've heard some people say Ritsuko's mother, some say Rei-1, some say Lillith. But with Rei having Lillith's soul, that pretty much excludes her.] |
