I definatly have been wanting to see Samurai Pizza Cats back on T.V. I use to love the show when I was in elementary school and watched it every morning before i left.
And I also wanted to see Outlaw Star back on T.V. and maybe the Tenchi series, those shows helped me get into anime and I would love to see them back on air.

I've about had it with cartoon network. They've taken off some great anime--and a bunch of them without even finishing the series. I want them to put back (and finish): .Hack//Sign, Sailor Moon (I just wanna see the last season for completions' sake), and Saint Seiya. Oh, and they should put back Gundam Wing and Ronin Warriors. They've been finished, but I wanna see them again.

I would love to see Gundam wing or sailor moon back on TV. It has been a while since I have seen them on TV. Sailor moon and DBZ helped many people to be acquainted with anime. Yet they replay DBZ so much and none of the other older series.

.hack//SIGN- Was shown about 5 times fully on CN.
Sailor Moon- Shown TO DEATH in 2000-2001, its final year. Could be seen 2x a day on CN.
Saint Seiya (aka Knights of the Zodiac)- Bumped for the airing of [adult swim] Saturday, ratings were poor.
G-Wing- Shocked You're kidding. It was shown TO DEATH! In 1999-2000 it was on 2x a day, the "uncut" version on The Midnight Run.
Ronin Warriors- Confused If they benched Saint Seiya the Ronin boys ain't coming back.

Sailor Moon- SEE ABOVE.
CardCaptors- Crying or Very sad I want to thank you for saying that. You see, you are one of the few brave souls who want to see CardCaptors and will risk every dub hater on this board relentlessly flaming you until SOMEHOW, you gat banned by an admin. This was not Nelvana's greatest work, but it's not the worst dub ever, and people would like to see it (I saw all the eps. that were brought over here on KidsWB back in the day). CN probably should air it and get it under a new company.

Geneon Entertainment (formerly Pioneer Entertainment) owns the rights to the uncut Japanese version, Cardcaptor Sakura.

That one should be aired, uncut and in it's original subtitle format, somewhere. Uncut, the rating gets bumped up to Teen rating (13+).

You can check the differences between the super-edited Cardcaptors with the original master source Cardcaptor Sakura in this artcle on theOtaku.com:

I'd like to see the following on TV again:

Jetsons
GI Joe
Original Transformers followed by The Headmasters (It aired on Sci-Fi channel in the early 90's)
Thundercats
Duck Tales
Voltron
Gumby
Speed Racer
Sailor Moon - unfortunately Toei Animation has denied licensing renewals for all companies that currently own a license to Sailor Moon, so no more Sailor Moon for the foreseable future
Richie Rich
Flinstones

Shocked Umm, whatever's after TEEN is more appropriate for CardCaptor Sakura. I'm just speaking as a realist of what would pass it the States Rolling Eyes.

Yeah, I was born in 1976, so I miss alot of the 80's and early 90's cartoons and what few anime aired at the time.

You're only a year younger than I am, btw. Smile

Out of the more recent cartoon lineup, I really miss Exo-Squad and Wing Commander Academy.

(Especially the latter, which was a really good adaptation with Mark Hamil, Tom Wilson, and Malcolm McDowell reprising their roles from the Wing Commander games. It puts the Wing Commander movie to shame, really.)

How long ago was this? I must have missed the boat. I really want to see this as I've heard my elders (read 2 or three years older) make comments that this was a good show.

Unfortunately Sailor Moon will not be making an appearance on TV anymore. The North American licenses to everything but the movies (which Geneon has) have not been renewed by Toei (the Japanese company that owns it). Geneon's license will expire at the beginning of next year, and that will be the end of licensed Sailor Moon in North America.

iirc, isn't someone trying to bring the live-action Sailor Moon over to the U.S.?

Whoever that is, they probably are going to pick up all the SM rights.

(I've been seeing it on and off in syndication for the past decade, though, and I think DiC has the syndication rights, so their rights might not yet be up.)

So, SM probably will be airing somewhere, most likely on local independent channels.
