I think it would probably be an appropriate analogy to say that DMC is pretty much the AC/DC of manga. It's never going to change what it does. For some people, that will never be enough, but for others, it will always be enough.

You know, DMC got old pretty fast, but I appreciate the creator wanting it to go out with a bang, rather than a whimper. They just don't do that in entertainment in general, anymore. Plus, the guy even upped the maturity and realism levels of the storyline. And it's probably got the most "I've been there" moments I've read in a while. So in spite of a slow start, I'd easily raise this score to B, maybe even B+, territory.
