In the new KUROSUFAIYAH 3 out of the 4 people involved said that Berserk was one of the favorite anime.
Is it really that good? |

Yes, it is very good. Lots of Action, lots of drama and loads of character development. A very well crafted anime. The only down side as I can see it is the fact that I believe they made the anime before the manga that it is based on was finished so it sort-of just ends. But it is still really good. |

I hate to generalize, but it's very much a "guy" anime. It's dripping with testosterone, but not in the mindless sense like a certain anime that will remain anonymous that involves balls and dragons. Berserk has a captivating story, but what I think helped keep my glued to it is the way that nearly every episode ended on an appropriate cliffhanger.
I've yet to meet one person who says Berserk is a bad anime. Some like it more than others, but that's a given with everything. |

i haven't seen all of Beserk yet because for some reason i stopped watching it after the huge battle with that huge guy in the armor, i tihnk he was leader of the blue knights or something. The parts that i saw were good though, the animation is pretty good and its a pretty dynamic story. If you like watching a loner go around killing guys with a giant sword but still have a good plot, then i would watch it.

yes, naked Griffith reminded me of Mr. Burns in the Simpsons...you'll temporarily lose your eye sight. pity the story leaves you hanging at the end....sure would like to see the story wrap up to the first episode... |

Well I don't know what to say but this anime rocks, I mean it... It's really very cool but sadly I've only saw the first 10 episodes but it's pretty cool, the story and the fighting as well, a pretty violence anime and it's worth watching... I like Griffiths alot, he is really cool and also he say some cool words sometimes

Berserk is a very good anime series. I have not watched all of it yet, but most of them. Each episode I have seen has been good, with good artwork, action, story and characers. Plus its got the whole ala cloud FF7 with little guy and huge sword thing going on

Gats is not "little" by any stretch of the imagination. He is larger than all of the other Hawks, including Griffith, and towers above most other soldiers in the show.

Yeah, after watching the first 17 eps, i have to say, I was really impressed. I thought originally that it would be some gory, cut-em-up and splash blood animes, and I found out that it is... but it also has an interesing plot and some good characters... one of my favorites...

Not just a guy's anime. Berserk is gonna remain one of my all-time favorites.
However I'd say the manga is even better. |

Just curious, is Berserk o.k. for the lady's? I keep hearing it's good. But, with some of your posts that it's a "guy" anime......I'm wondering. OH, and just how violent is it?

Um I belive the staff for beserk probly got a bulk discount on the amount of red paint they used in that series espessly near the end. Its pretty Violent like braveheart level of Violence for the most part the end thu ....... . rather not say. |

I'll say it, yes.  Berserk may be a tad on the graphic side but the sotry, animation and all more than make up for it for the faint of heart.  Besides, if what you see you do not like, just turn it off. But it is 100% worth sampling, even if you are not into the genre.
