Most likely that the ratings started to drop and they sent it to die in a bad time slot. Further declining ratings and justifying canceling it. I think it was reported Viz hired a company to shop Shippuden around to other channels to see if they would want to air it.

ya if it goes to another channel their just going to start the show over from the begining which realy pisses me off.

I'm going to guess a lot of people actually don't get Disney with their packages either, and that probably lowered viewership.
