Has anybody watched this? I finished watching this, but it's left me with so many questions.
Did Minase really save Imari, or did he ultimately fail, with her being posessed?? This is in regards to the last episode, which I won't spoil. If anybody can answer this, thanks! |

The ending of the first Bible Black series has many people questioning it. Basically, spoiler[its seems that Kitami's demon has transferred into Imari's body, meaning that the ceremony was a success.]

Well, there is a black book resembling a Bible, but you won't find the soothing tones of Psalms in it. |

Yeah. I read somewhere about the Japanese company worrying about reverse importation. If that's the case, why do most uncensored hentai sold outside of Japan itself even have Japanese language tracks  ? Not that I care, but it sort of makes an interesting argument  .

because most Hentai is pretty awful, or at the very least is not as popular as Bible Black. John Sirabella (SP?) himself even said that to MB, it was like the "Adult Rurouni Kenshin" |

An "adult" Kenshin? As in, material wise with a wandering swordsman being seduced by a lonely kenjutsu girl (to add a hentai twist)? Or is it just speaking in terms of how widely popular this title is among hentai fans? I've never really heard of "popular" hentai to begin with, aside from La Blue Girl, which I thought was more hilarious than erotic from the clip I saw  .
EDIT: After looking up a little of this Bible Black, I can see how it might be popular. A lot of the female character designs are very attractive; big-breasted, slim bodies, and pretty faces  .
And if you put that together with actual sex, I guess you've got a nice little guilty pleasure going  .

Anyway, from what I can understand... the only way to get the thing uncensored was a dub only release ... I'm not sure, but I think it was said that there could be a JAPANESE track had the R1 thing been censored... So yeah, apparently downloading and reverse importation does end up having somewhat negative effects I guess... but you know... what're you gonna do? |

Well I'm just wondering since BB can't be reverse imported, then I guess Steven is right in saying most hentai are awful (animation or content wise?), which only goes to prove the apparent popularity of BB both here in the U.S and in Japan.
I would also assume that since this is hentai, that the dubbing isn't very good. I mean, it's not like there's a lot of dialogue, right  ? And it's not like you can get professional actors to moan and groan on a normal basis. I suppose having the original Japanese track would usually be the better choice then, but no such luck in this particular case.
Wow, what a popular hentai series. I never really gave something like this much thought. This franchise must either be really crazy, or super sexy  .

It's a bit of both. It'd be one of the few hentai where it might be objectionable in some parts, but it's got very nice designs and consensual sex too. There is dialouge, and there is a very interesting story too.
It's 'adult kenshin' in yeah, the sense that it's got a fairly strong following and is fairly popular. I've been meaning to see it/buy it, but haven't gotten around. Ah well. Most hentai is a mixture of fairly bad animation and silly content, with sex scenes that neither excite or amuse, and in certian cases, disgust crusty old sea dogs. |

Okay, let me tell you this. It's not the moaning and groaning, it's that the voices were some of the worst English, grab-a-guy-off-the-street dubbing I've ever heard . . . EVEN FOR HENTAI. Only three voices were good: Michelle Duhard (Saeki), Cynthia Gough (Shiraki/Kunimoto), and Christie Tibodeaux (Kitami). Everyone else had either very bad dialogue, bad VAing, or both. And Josephine Clemens (Imari) . . . Oh sweet merciful one above, grant the woman some money to take a VA class. Please. Seriously. I almost became a sub fan listening to her high-pitched whining.
Again, put it this way. I basically trashed the VA's, yet the series is kind of one of the best hentai shows I've seen. The animation style is very good, the body types look surprisingly real, and you can't go wrong with the tried and true formula of spoiler[supernatural aspect+sex= FUN]. Also, there seemed to at least be an attempt to create an atmosphere of "realism". It's both super crazy and super sexy, and that's evidenced when spoiler[the first student is summoned the nurse's office. WOW. ]

The main reason being is that Museum Pictures (Milky's trade/real name) is trying to narrow down reverse importation in their market. Even if we got it edited, it would still be cheaper and titilate the Japanese buyers (2 episode discs, Japanese dialogue, which they can understand), plus they get it edited anyway. So edited wasn't even offered by Milky. MB, did the next best thing (to get it uncut anyway) and pushed the negotiation to what we have now. It's sad, but can't be helped. |

Actually one day when I was browsing through some fansubbers site I found a fansub version fo Bible Black 2. Is that the same as Bible Black: New Testament?
