I think Misato from NGE is hillarious, she has such a good VA that really brings out her personality; also Kaji cracks me up a bit.

I've always thought Luffy from One Piece was pretty funny. He's so simple minded and can be such an idiot, but in a funny way. Sort of like Homer Simpson. I also find it amusing the way he explains anything too complicated for him, he just says it's a "Mystery <insert name>". Zoro can be pretty funny too, mainly because he has no sense of direction. The same goes for Luffy for that matter.

The funniest thing I've seen in anime is Kuroyanagi Ryo's reactions to bread in Yakitate! Japan. They are beyond ridiculolus. A lot of anime characters are funny overall but not many quite deliver the punch.

Tony Tony Chopper is funny because he believes EVERYTHING he's told. And when somebody's hurt, he'll yell "DOCTOR!" when he's the doctor!

This is tricky! There are alot of good ones out there but i would have to say Mugen from Samurai Champloo. He is to cocky for his own good and thinks he's the best. Plus the way websites describe him is quite funny...

For me, the funniest anime character is Eikichi Onizukafrom GTO. Whenever i watch GTO, i always laugh at his crazy antics. I also find Kikumaru Eiji of Prince of Tennis funny because of his antics.

she's not a main character but Daikuuji from Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is pretty funny. The stuff she does at the restaurant and the conclusions she makes are pretty weird.

Mine is Ishin Kurosaki from Bleach. His constant fights with Ichigo always make me laugh. My personal favorite scene is in episode 64, when the Kuroskai family is eating breakfast, and while Ichigo is talking to Yuzu and Karin, Ishin yells, "An opening!" and kicks Ichigo square in the face. That scene was priceless. |
I'd say the same too. Though I'd only see one or two eps, I love it and that was priceless! That's my personal fave too.

I would have to go with Yurika Misumaru of Martian Successor Nadesico. She's the most clueless ship's captain that I've ever seen. And, of course, the way she chases after poor Akito. Then there's Yurika's future-born twin, Dita of Vandread, who behaves almost the exact same way around Hibiki.
For Comedy Team: Saiyuki. The constant bickering and sheer repetivness of Sha Gojyo and Son Goku is quite funny. Epecially when Genjo Sanzo gets fed up with the entire situation and starts shooting at them. And then there's Cho Hakkai brilliant one-liners.

Iwould have to agree that mugen off of Samurai Champloo is funny
because even when his life is at risk he has an I don't care attitude. Actually thats all the time. I would also have to say that Bart from VANDREAD is funny because he has no luck with the ladies. He also has a crush on BC who is really a man in disguise wich you find out in the last 4 episodes of season two so he feels really stupid for a while. I got alot of laughs from that.

I like Mugen from Samurai Champloo, but the funniest person I've seen is none other than MASTER ROSHI from DBZ!!!!
Master Roshi is the most perverted, sick, vile, old man I've ever seen in an anime. I was watching some uncut DBZ with my mom a couple of years ago, and it was a scene with him on his little shore and Maron parasailing around. Then it shows him holding a swimsuit magazine and he starts talking about Maron's curves. My mom told me that she was throwing the video tape out because it was just plain nasty. She thought it was gonna turn into cartoon porn with Master Roshi getting it on with Maron. Whoever doesn't think old perverts like Master Roshi aren't funny has no sense of humor.

Her driving alone leaves me in stiches.
Poor Chiyo-chan...

Hah, I find Sousuke in Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu to be REALLY funny <3 I also love Aburatsubo from Magic Users Club, Osaka from Azu Manga Daioh, Rock Lee & Gai from Naruto, Chopper from One Piece, and Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon. They all have given me a good laugh, too.

Just cause it is recent in my memory banks (having just watched all my friend's episodes of Bleach), I'd have to say Ken-chan's (11th Squad Captain) 2nd in command. That little girl is hillarious! I like it when the 3rd says that she has no sense of direction and then she jumps on him and starts biting his bald head... Man that was priceless! I laughed for about an hour afterwords. Heck, I'm still laughing now! hahaha
