Just wanted to add that they have recently released volume 2 of the Samurai Deeper Kyo manga. Just bought it and a bunch of other mangas at Waldenbooks a couple of days ago, gotta love buy 4 get 5th free sales.

Wanted to add that Sony is distributing Astroboy, so they probably own the home video rights as well.

And I disagree with your argument that because parents are not responsible enough to curtail what kids watch, the government should step in and decide what to keep away from kids. By your logic, that would be all that mattered in the Castillo case, despite the fact that he didn't do anything illegal. I understand why tv edits are made, because they're supposed to benefit the public whenever an emergency arises, but whenever the government gets in the way of my legally purchased movies or videogames, then they're also trespassing on my First Amendment rights.

My logic applies to anime shows that have been edited for TV. Technically there are rules in place that keep younger audiences from buying anime DVDs if they're not old enough.
Never once did I say that adults shouldn't be allowed to view/buy what they want (ex. the Castillo case). If you're 18 or older, feel free to enjoy all the live action tentacle porn you want. |
