Wow......that trailer really didn't tell us all that much......except that it's a Michael Bay movie. But then again I don't really care all that much about Transformers, so not a big deal to me. I have this stange feeling that people are going to upset seeing that "trailer". Hey at least Uwe Boll didn't get right?
Till next time,

Yeah, I have a feeling fans will be mad for some reason. But yeah, that really is the only thing going for it: at least it's not a Boll film.

I would like to see what the transforming robots in that movie would look like then just have shadows. I hope DreamWorks doesn't ruin Transformers. Because I like Transformers.

Yeah, I hate Uwe Boll, too. He ruins video games and turns them into cruddy movies (but I'm glad he's not gonna make a Mortal Kombat film because then I'll be outrage).

That's the entire point of a teaser. To tease. So maybe it worked?

There should be a law against you using the word 'rape'.

Making a shitty movie doesn't make the game shitty, nor does it ruin it.

Why you haven't died in your sleep by drowning in your own drool is beyond modern medical science.

Well, it's just a trailer, you can't expect much more than that. Around Thanksgiving/Christmas time we should expect something more substantial and get a better idea on how good/bad this will be. This teasers only purpose is to get the word out that this movie is coming.

I'm sure it (as well as the upcoming Evangelion) will be one of next year's "true summer blockbusters".

OK. Now I edit out the word 'rape' and replaced it with the word 'ruin'. Because I don't wanna get banned from the forums. So am I not allowed to say that word on ANN at all?

Ehh... despite ADV's optimism, the question as to whether or not the live-action Evangelion movie will ever be made is extremely iffy (and I can almost certainly tell you, if it ever is made, it's not going to be a huge blockbuster in terms of ticket sales).

Regardless, even if I pretended for a moment that I have full confidence in the feasibility of the project, considering it's still in "development", with nothing but production art or a few demo reels to show for it so far, it won't be on theatre screens for years, if it ever makes it to theatre screens at all.

As for Transformers, I'd imagine the final domestic box office for something like that, if it's successful, will be in the $150 to $200 million range. The big blockbusters next summer are going to be Spider-Man 3, Harry Potter 5, Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (filmed simultaneously with Dead Man's Chest), and Shrek 3. Transformers could be a sleeper hit, but it's not going to be one of next summer's "tentpoles".

This movie already gets coolness +2 for actually integrating past events into the movie, even though they already played the "More than meets the eye" card.

Here is the words from Don Murphy that this shouldn't be feared:

Quote:
Okay just ducked into the trailer here after letting Michael know that the teaser site is crashing every few minutes because of the insanely heavy traffic. He was pleased and commented that it is NOT a trailer. Or even really a teaser. He called it an "announcement" and I guess it is. I mean there's no footage from the film in there. We are on Day 29 of 81. Still so much to do. So let's call it an announcement because he's the director.

Anyway here's the day-

1- Some lowlife scum illegally posted the "announcement" on YOUTUBE this morning. ( I wonder he he was from Wales?)
2- We got it down within a few hours.
3- Dreamworks decided, screw it, it's ready, you want it that bad you might as well have a great copy of it. So the site went live a few days early.
4- Site started getting 100,000 hits an hour. Insane. Site not ready for that. Downloading very slow.
5- You guys reported in your feelings.

So that's the story gang.

Otherwise, take it easy.

I liked it.Though that insanely amount of hits are scary. So Scary that Michael Bay's Site aparently had over 600,000 Hits for the Transformers Movie Annocuement.

Also I'm a TransFan and I ain't mad yet.Though I'd get mad if Dream Works/Paramount don't allow David Kaye,Gary Chalk,Neil Kaplan, and Riordan(Sp?) to apply for the role of Prime and Megatron.

That trailer looks pretty cool. Except that Beagle 2 wasn't a rover, the sky on Mars is red and not blue, and the person discussing the launch is American and not British. But that is alright since get to see a giant robot smash the thing into pieces. They definitely managed to tease with that one.

I'm personally not having any trouble accessing it.

This was on digg yesterday, but the teaser wasn't that good so I outed from posting it in the forums... I mean I know it's a teaser but come on.
