Have you ever watched an anime, and a song plays that is just so bad that you can't stand to watch the show anymore?

A show that came to mind was Gravion; and the robot transformation song. It is the type of song that was poked fun of so hilariously in "Pani Poni Dash!": the lyrics are bad, the English parts are unforgivable, and the music itself is downright horrible. It made me wish I was deaf.

I cant remember one, although I'm fairly sure I've come up across one at some point. There are plenty of songs that are just at the wrong place for the wrong scene.

The ending songs for Gantz and Elfen Lied kinda ruin the shows but I still watched the series. They are supposed to gory/horror shows, yet at the end of Gantz they play really soft calm music, and Elfen Lied its some pop song. Atleast for Elfen Lied they should have played the last half of Lilium.

I've had the opposite happen; where I was quite bored with a series but the music kept me watching (after all, don't want to see good music go to waste Wink). The OP theme and background music in Air somehow got me through the entire series.

I kinda liked how they played "baby i wanna be your girl" at the end of elfin lied. I dont know...its kinda wierd but in a good way. Its in the same sense as how cute little girls are the scariest things in horror movies. Hearing a pop song after watching spoiler[Nana get all her limbs ripped off] kinda puts an odd twist on things..for me atleast.. but however i do think it would be cool to play the last half of lilium, a haunting yet beautiful toon.

I've come across a series that lacked music which ruined it completely for me, Trigun. I can't remember any music for that show except that god awful ending, which by the way made the show worse.

I remembered one, the song played during second episode of end of evangelion. The lyrics and stuff fits, but the melody was way off in my opinion.

I hated the Sailor Moon OST, except for that song when Ami was about to leave to Germany. Out of that, I hated that series' OST... Well, I hated the series in its entirety anyway.

Some of the music from Infinite Ryvius made me want to gouge my ears out with a rusty screwdriver so I suppose that would qualify. I have yet to muster enough endurance to make it through this series despite having bought the box set the better part of a year ago.

Berserk - If it weren't for the SKIP button (>>|), "Tell Me Why" would've killed it for me.

ugh, two of them actually

the first would be that freaking song at the end of Gankutsuou. it just ruins the whole mood of the series. the second would be "Shine" from Hellsing. why someone thought Mr. Big needed work is beyond me.

Thankfully the only bad songs I have ever encountered were the opening and/or closing themes of some anime. Since you can skip them, there is no problem.

For example, the first time I watched the first episode of Azumanga Daioh, I watched the song because the animation was kind of funny. However, every episode after that, I skipped the opening. All the more power to you if you can sit through it every time, but I can't.

Everytime an episode of NGE ends, I cringe a bit when I hear 'Fry me to the moon.'
