Where does the manga for Hunter X Hunter end with the anime? Meaning where does manga pick up from where the anime left off?
And also, how many volumes are available in English?

I haven't read the manga so this is second hand info, but apparently the anime ends in chapter 185, which is volume 18.

That must be where the OVAs end, because there is no way the TV series got that far. I stopped watching before the Hunter Exam ended (which was around the half-way point of the TV series), and there is no way they crammed 12 or so volumes worth of material into 20-30 episodes.
I hear that the TV series during or at the end of the York New stuff, which I'm guessing ends in volume 12.

Oh, yeah....I am talking about where the Greed Island FINAL OVA ended. I have no idea where in the manga the TV series leaves off, but the end of volume 12 sounds about right.
