And the TRSI Xmas sale goes out with a bang. Finally picked up the Samurai Champloo box set for $79.99.
If there is an attempt to harm me, I'll bring out the big guns... from my afro! |

I went ahead and got the "Transmodel" Nirvash (it can transform into vehicle mode). I'm such a sucker, whenever I find a new series I really like, I have to buy something from the show.

I just bought Coyote Ragtime Show and Paradise Kiss.
And I'm already way backed up on anime watching. |

I know what you mean, here I had bought chunkfulls of anime before the holiday season so I would have plenty to watch and be able to use my spending cash all on gifts. So what do I do? I see my friend has a boat load of Sailor Moon on the shelf and decide to borrow them instead of watching any of the my stuff that's already piling up. And then to top it all off, I look at my Christmas bonus which I was going to put away for a vacation later, and start to think about how to spend it on the rightstuf specials before I even get it. At least I kept my word and didn't spend any or my regular spending cash on anime, but I have absolutely no self control sometimes. Oh, and to stay on topic, it looks like I'll be ordering the Samurai Champloo box, the Desert Punk bundle, The Stellvia artbox, and the Sugar box set. Not that it will use up all of my bonus but... there are still 8 days left for TRSI to add more Christmas specials. |

Agreed, Zalis needs to be banned! I spend money and time on things after browsing his lists, and I end up liking them. For instance he is indirectly solely responsible for my purchase of two, count them, two Cardcaptor Sakura boxes and two CS movies a few months back which I totally loved. He's also partially responsible for my interest in Sugar. ETA: Not that I really think anyone takes it seriusly but it is a joke, I don't actually want Zalis banned. |

Well, if it's not Mr. Pot talking about Mr. Kettle. While I hold Zalis responsible for my purchases of Angelic Layer and Pretear and my future purchase of Rumbling Hearts, you sir are responsible for at least Gunslinger Girl. While my wallet hates you both, I am very glad for being directed to all these series since I liked them a lot (especially Gunslinger Girl). I am in awe of your "my anime" lists, and they are on my regular list of places to check out when I'm thinking about what to buy next. Hmm. I guess this post is pretty much completely off topic, so while I'm still enjoying all the recent purchases I have made I have to say that my love/hate relationship with RightStuf is alive and well with their current sale. I'm seriously thinking about the Elfen Lied thinpak, X TV remix set, the first volume of Noein, and just because it's so inexpensive the Giant Robo DVD/CD bundle. I really should forbid myself from buying any more anime until my backlog pile is gone, but everyone's got to have a vice or two.

Well, I decided to sacrifice the last remaining bit of my soul to Right Stuf today.
First up, Ouran High School Host Club (manga) volume 4. They never seem to have volume 4 at my local bookstore, so I'll order it, even though it always takes months for my manga orders to ever ship from Right Stuf. I've never really understood that. But oh well. And then the stuff that really lead to some wallet pain: - Vision of Escaflowne DVD Complete Collection (let's just see if all the DVDs work, or if I get to play mail tag with Bandai) - Genshiken Premium Collection (my husband will be awfully annoyed if we don't actually like this series) - A Little Snow Fairy Sugar DVD Box Set (can delete the last 2 discs from my Netflix queue at least )
- Paranoia Agent DVD Box Set (only had to mention Satoshi Kon and my husband quickly agreed to buying it) - Koi Kaze volume 1 + artbox (didn't like the series that well, but I like artboxes...and it was only $9.99) - Nadia Collection 2 (DDD ticked me off and dropped it from my order recently without telling me so I decided to get it now while I still can) - Twelve Kingdoms set 1 & 2 (because I must finally finish watching this series) From DDD: Paradise Kiss volume 1 + artbox (because it was a lot cheaper than Right Stuf) And from Best Buy yesterday: Diamond Daydreams volume 3, since it was only $12.99 (and I loved the first DVD which I saw through Netflix) A bit pricey overall, but basically this is the Christmas gift to ourselves for this year. We're going all out, since last year we couldn't afford to exchange gifts at all. |
