It's interesting that this movie is getting a disc in the UK, but not the US (or at least not yet).
When it didn't win an award at the NY Children's Film Festival, there was some disappointment. I think the error is that this film wouldn't be considered a children's film in the US.
1. It has a dead body.
2. A guy (different from #1) is killed by a long-range sniper.
3. The male protagonist is shot, bleeds, and passes out from shock.
Any one of those things would make it not win a children's film award in the US. It is, however, a really good SF movie. (I've seen a million of these things, and I expected all the twists, except the last one. I didn't see that one coming.) I hope it gets more than a theatrical release in the US.
