More giant monsters, fewer pointless humans! Seriously, ATJ's soulless performance was enough, there was no need for his equally dull wife and kid to also be there.

Making nearly 1/2 a billion at the global box office is good for the Big G. I wonder how much of the money goes back to Toho.
I hope we don't have to wait 3-4 years for the next movie.

Toho probably got a flat fee when they sold the film rights to Legendary.

Legendary Pictures got Mothra?
I dunno, I'm just NOT picturing the Zack Snyder version of the Twin Fairies...

I hope they still get a portion of the profits because I think they deserve it with the global box office success the movie has had.

I just hope the second film will wow folks. I did enjoy the first but we finally got a green light for a 2nd. Can't wait to see what the new designs will be for Rodan (that is if they are using him).

I think a sequel needs to really step up the game. The first movie already established that Giant Monsters are here in quantity. A sequel should up the ante and go full out 'Destroy All Monsters' with multiple major cities under attack.
Third movie.... Giant Monsters, FROM SPACE!

If Legendary wants to follow the format Godzilla again, then don't use the same cast as the first movie. I believe that the cast fluctuated in the Japanese movies, did they not? This would be most exciting to see somebody like Mothra or Ghidorah challenge Godzilla for King of the Monsters, well worth the wait if they can make it happen.
