I've been watching the series since May and I really enjoy it! Recently, I've been imagining what it would be like if the series got an English dub and I believe it could be successful since the series has a decent sized fanbase in the US. I know it may be too early for an English dub, but maybe after a few more months or a year, an anime dubbing company like FUNimation should get the license to it and produce an English dub! I would definitely buy the DVDs for the series in a heartbeat!

Well, they've done the OP in English(and a bunch of other languages), but I imagine any actual dub would take it being licensed in the US in the first place.

Wouldn't get your hopes up. Series of shorts (especially ones under half-episode length) have only very rarely gotten licensed, dubbed, and released independently, and those rare exceptions have typically been parts of franchises that have had massive enduring popularity in the West. (One example: Adventures of the Mini-Goddesses.)

And even then, they'd find a decent equivalent for "Ya-me-te."

But, like Key says, the sad thankless job of the short-form toon... Sad

But then it wouldn't be 'Kana Hanazawa talks to herself for 5 minutes' any longer...

yeah it would. A Japanese track would still be released along side an English audio track

I wonder why anime that have episodes under half-length rarely get dubbed.

I imagine some of the overheard is per-episode, but the series would also have to sell for less since it's so short, so the profit margin would be thinner and the risk greater.
