But still, the theme song is definitely nice here imo and it's nice to remind us that Sidonia will return for season 2! |

I guess they delayed the second season so this film could come out. Not really that interested in it personally. Though I love the series.

They were already impressive in the TV version, I can't imagine how it'll be like to hear those sweet, sweet effects redone in even higher def, and played in the theater's powerful surround speakers *goosebumps* 
Having written that, I have low expectations from the film itself, from the plot and pace perspectives. Taking a 1-cour show (at 20 min. of actual content per episode on average, not counting OP/ED, that's about 240 minutes, or 4 hours) and condensing it into a 1.5-2 hours movie is generally a bad idea to make existing fans interested.
