Honestly, we really haven't seen Nippon Animation do anything in recent times, outside of Chibi Maruko and the occasional shorts. I was legitimately surprised when they announced the Sinbad film. Would definitely like to see more from them and possibly attempt to revive their WMT line again. But yes, it does in some ways give off that vibe. Any ways, these shorts look pretty well animated and look to be telling somewhat of a cute story. It was interesting they went for more of a visual method of story telling, rather than using voices. I'm wondering if that'll be the plan for the shorts all the way through, or we'll actually hear the characters speak in the next episodes. Either way, I look forward to the rest of these. |
