Link was lucky that he was fast enough to outrun the armored guards to avoid getting maimed. I think he'll now have to find a way of repaying Ilia for the broken pots.

I like how it gave a story for how Link recklessly breaks into every building and every pot for those rupees. I was 90% expecting him to run into a LikeLike at the end though.

Me, I just thought the shopkeeper was taking advantage of Link's desperation. Then again, maybe he is. Of course, I also thought that Link would have had enough and try taking the shield by force and the shopkeeper would've had some karma happen to him.
