I guess it's a sign of the times now that an idol group would do a Dragon Ball theme.  Haven't really been a fan of any of the new ones like I was the older ones including even GT but I can say that for a lot of recent anime theme songs. Japan's anime music sound has really modernized of late with all the tie-ins with mainstream acts and just the huge changes that have undergone the anime industries overall structure this decade and with it I feel it's lost a lot of it's charm. Not all of anime music, just most of it including IMO the most popular stuff just sounds bland if not annoying to me. Meh....
