If it does happen, please let some other studio handle it.

Yeah. It'll have to reboot the whole series or retcon all of season 2. Going off the most recent adaptation won't work at ALL.

Meh, I'm taking those news with a grain of salt.

Didn't ANN already have a fake article about a season 3 for Tokyo Ghoul already? I don't trust this one bit, I'll only believe this when it gets confirmed from the Japanese side.

Would prefer to see a reboot of the series to be perfectly honest. Only then would I consider watching it.

But, that probably isn't going to happen.

Wasn't fake per say, just a report on a statement made by Funimation's CEO in a GameSamba article. That statement was later removed from the article though, and the official Funimation TG page later said that a third season is not confirmed.

I'm assuming this is a similar case, since there hasn't been any announcement by the official Japanese TG twitter, the authors twitter or WYJ magazine. It's likely just a mistake on the Viz Media Senior Director's part, otherwise it would be letting slip some pretty big news.

If TG was getting a new season shortly it would have been announced at Jump Festa in December, so at the very least I don't think it would happen for a few months, if at all this year.

What in the blazes is a "fake article"? Shocked Like, you thought it was an article about Tokyo Ghoul, but when you clicked on it, it was pictures of beehives?

Considering there has not been any such announcement from the Japanese side, if it's true, I would worry for the guy who flubbed since I'm quite sure the Japanese would not be happy about the news getting out before the planned announcement date.

Either reboot it or start off from after when Kaneki went missing. Either way ignore the piece of shit that was season 2. Freaking 10 minute slow walk as an ending? IMBECILES!

OH god. Why did this have to happen? There are plenty of series that didn't have shitty adaptations that would love a new season, but instead we get this. Unless its a complete reboot by a better studio, I will probably not bother watching it.
