@Peebs Nah, I think it'll go to Crunchyroll. Everything based on Comico works I can list off the top of my head (ReLIFE, Momokuri, Nanbaka and Piacevole) has safely been in Crunchyroll hands.

As for How to Keep a Mummy, I'd heard of it way back when I was probably one of the only people wandering around Comico to learn more about ReLIFE in its native Japanese (prior to all the Comico works getting their manga translated on CR + adapted into anime). Back then, I never thought that series was popular until the mummy started appearing in more places on Comico than just its home series, and when the series's manga showed up on CR, I realised I may have been out of the loop on my idea of "popularity" on Comico. Now that it's getting an anime though, I might as well check it out, both as a longtime Comico fan and the fact it does look like it's up my alley.

So someone fill me in. What's the appeal to this series? Gag comedy? Slice-of-life? 4koma? Moe? Crunchy's description doesn't nab me.

There's a porno manga with a very similar basic plot to this.

@lostbirdinatree: I hope you're right. The manga is too cute for words and I need to see the anime in the same way I need to read more about a tiny mummy and its oni friend.

@Morry: It's gag comedy, a bit of drama, a bit of slice of life, a bit of moe. The moe part is more for the mummy and all the cute things it does. The humans are so far removed from moe, IMO. CR is behind with the manga, I think, and we'll probably get farther in the animated version. If you already pay for CR, definitely read this. It's not 4koma and it's all in glorious color.

In Australia, you dad usually marries your mummy...not ship them to you in an oversized package. Laughing

Anyway, jokes aside, I may end up watching this. Kinda interested in seeing what this miniature mummy gets up to.

A boy finally gets his mummy might be a factor.
