One thing I noticed about the TV series was how amazing their "camera" work was. Along with just outright outstanding care into literally everything aspect from audio to picture, I couldn't help but give both seasons 10/10. I normally skip comp films but I do want to see both of these. I heard the first film had a much better "concert scene". Now I'm more hyped for Liz und ein BlauerVogel

Now now, this makes me wonder what if Shinkai directs a movie on KyoAni. I mean, despite the beautiful imageries of comix wave's vividly painted background, it's not until their latest Kimi no Na wa that their characters animation also have equal attention and noticeably more fluidly animated than their previous Shinkai's works.
Not that all Shinkai's style need more expressive character animation, but I think it would be nice to see some.
*on a second thought, I might not want it if KyoAni's designs will only make all characters overly cute or yuri-bait-ish
