We only getting a top 10 this year? Was top 30 previously.

FWIW that's a decline of 1118336 units compared to the top 10 last year, or 16.7%. That's broadly in keeping with the expected general trend, though it's also a reminder of what an impact Your Name had on the market last year, when the decline was much less pronounced. There were four new titles (Classroom, Eromanga, Akashic, Tanya) & of the 6 titles from last year, only Your Name fell from its position last year, with Konosuba holding & the rest rising. Kadokawa published 6 of the titles this year, two more than last year.

Looks like Media Factory is pushing through.
Thank you for the insight.

Just FYI, Kadokawa owns Enterbrain, ASCII Media Works, and Media Factory. So they actually control every single series on this list.

Sooooooooooo happy to see Tanya in top even if it's #10. Need second season immediately.

I'd sure like to see the light novels for Akashic Records of the Bastard Magical Instructor licensed. I have no idea how much the Japanese sales numbers affect what US publishers do with licensing stuff though.

Konosuba should have been #1. Continue the Mahouka anime now.
