Well, this looks pretty cool. Funnily enough, it reminds me much more of the first season of Tokyo Ghoul than the PV for Tokyo Ghoul :RE. Mildly optimistic about this one

Do people read/watch this for the action at all? I find that to be the weakest aspect of it, yet the trailer seems to focus on that.
Personally, I read it for the romance and the vampire lore, which I usually find very underwhelming in manga/anime. When Vertical announced the manga, I ignored it for a good year, because neither vampire stories nor police/detective type stories appeal to me much. The romance in this is very sweet, though. Well, at least as far as I've read it so far.

The animation is as bad as Tokyo ghoul 're if not worse.
