Ouch, Promised Neverland with extremely disappointing sales :/ hope that doesn’t hurt its chances for a s2, maybe if the manga gets a good sales boost.

Wow, I have never seen a harem show selling so well! Hope that means S2. Meanwhile Promised Neverland has disastrous sales, just like Nanatsu no Taizai 2, which, just like Neverland, I had high expectations in terms of sales.

Well, it had good art. Good art usually sells.

Disc sales for Jump properties are nearly irrelevant compared to everything else. The MHA anime has sold pretty poorly iirc, and yet it's still getting a fourth season because the franchise is just that popular.

MHA did not sell poorly lol. Pretty sure it averaged 3.5k for all seasons.

And then the movie sold super well at around 22k.

PNL sold really badly heh. I was expecting it a bit. I feel like it is lacking a good character to latch on too. So with a lack of a strong popular character it didn't have much chance of it selling to a specific fanbase.

For a property with such monumental popularity as MHA, 3.5k is poor relative to that. Neverland's just happened to turn out worse, but again, disc sales are mostly irrelevant to them.

And the movie obviously wasn't included in my statement, because it's not a shock that a theatrical, *original* production for a massively popular franchise would do incredibly well. If Neverland got a movie as well, it would also likely be financially successful.
