I've seen lots of weird character designs and outfits in my day, but the MC's uniform is just...bizarre. Like it was cobbled together out of all cool parts of mens' fashion but with no regard to how it would work in unison.

--Collar and tie, buttoned and tightened all the way up! But the shirt is untucked.
--Double-breasted coat! But with the kind of collar that requires the coat to open straight down the front and have proper lapels.
--Cut short in the front! But you'd never need a belt for a coat that short and with that cut (the belt here is at the base of his rib cage, not his waist). And long sides and back just 'because they can!
--Everything is militarily precise! Except the loose, dangly belt and untucked shirt.
--The coat length, high collar, pants, long sleeves, and gloves say the weather is cold! The short sleeves on the coat say it is *not* cold, though, and he's wearing this heavy, bulky, overwarm outer garment for no reason.

Why are his long sleeves a different color than his shirt? Is he wearing a third layer, or is his shirt weirdly two-tone?

And seriously, why saddle shoes? They don't match the rest of the aesthetic *at all*.

It's just such a strange, strange design.
