More like David forgot. They'll probably remember once they finish with Fire Force.

That is called unjust exploitation of labor.

This has me worried about what the work culture at David Productions is like especially with how much detail they’ve been putting into the animation quality with Fire Force and I hope no one is being forced into harsh overwork conditions.

There's an issue with one of the translated sentences...

Quote:
Ashiya wrote there is "no guarantee" he will be paid for his contributions

That part had a phrasing: “no-gyara” is a false friend that looks like “not guaranteed”, it means “an unpaid appearance” (like a band playing for free) https://twitter.com/astrange_e/status/1174848987490185227

I’d love to see the reaction to an industry-wide strike. Whoever’s getting rich off these labor issues may then realize how fragile this business is.

I know the industry sucks when it comes to pay issues, but just this once i'm going to hope this was a clerical error.

Not condoning not paying your animation directors but man, I really hope this spells bad news for Part 6 or any other future JoJo adaptations. David has ruined the damn series. It shouldn't have ever been animated, disgusting studio.

Man, this does NOT bode well for a Stone Ocean's future adaptation. AT ALL.

I wouldn't mind a different director for the series but I really can't understand how someone doesn't get paid. Mind you, I've heard it happen in this industry MANY time, but how do you pay rent? Even if you love the industry there's plenty of other studios that will pay you, I'm SURE.
But yeah, hope he gets his money but would like if he left the studio after that. He not bad, but the designs of the episodes have gotten stale, and I'm saying this even though Part 5 is probably my second favorite part in the series. But my favorite, part 2, had a lot more personality and intensity. I thought it was the material at first but now I wonder if it's because the staff is being pushed too hard and getting formulaic. Remember the crazy colors throughout part 2 but then used more and more rarely as the series has progressed?
