I don't know if this has been posted before, but I just found it, and I thought I'd share this intresting... obvious ripoff I found. I just found it rather funny, and wanted to see what other people thought.
It's in a forum thread here with a pic... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?s=86638885a81feaf6f0ab198f3a681363&act=ST&f=26&t=1076&st=0 If that design for a sentinel somehow made it's way into the 3rd X-men movie *it'd never happen without them getting totally sued of course*, I don't think I'd be able to stop laughing. |

You on there? I hang around with the same username.... And yeah, we figured that Gainax would be all over Marvel as soon as they caught wind of that... kind of surprised nothing has happened already, as a number of US comics are translated and released in Japan as well... |

another thing is that one of the charcters in that arc was named Eva
My mistake just cheaked my issue of Mystique her name was Evangelina. Still makes the same point though Last edited by Rahxephon91 on Mon Jan 05, 2004 1:27 am; edited 1 time in total |

Ripoff, but i dont care, eva and x-men are both good. But it is an obvious rip, marvel could have changed/shouldve changed it so its not so like an eva.

And then Professor X uses Cerebro to summon the Angels to defeat the Eva-Sentinels, consequently declaring open war on NERV. This could be funny.

I have a good friend who's an X-Men freak. He isn't into Anime that much (I make him watch a few things). I just saw an issue with one of those sitting on his coffee table and was like...what!?
I told him they look just like an Evangelion, and yet, he refuses to believe his beloved Marvel would rip anything off. As soon as I get Eva back from another friend, I'll be putting his foot in his mouth. Syker Seven |

More a tribute rather than a rip off I should think,one of the artists was probably an eva fan.

My God,
Seeing things like this really disgusts me. People get an opportunity in lfie to do something of their own, and they just shamelessly knock off some one else's hard work. We need to bring back drawing and quartering as a way of eealing with people ^_- j |
