It is just a visual feature which plays out in their character.

Animation looks good, Rieri is Rieri, and the story looks interesting.

Also, those eyes...

Damn, that means Hidive will probably split it into three and the reviewers won't have to shotgun 90 minutes at once for the Preview Guide.

Anyways it looks good, here's to hoping the new blood nails it.

This is one of my most anticipated anime’s for next year the manga is so good! and I gotta say I’m surprised Crunchyroll didn’t get this, this is definitely a W for Hidive.

I thought it was coming until Fall. I hope it becomes a big hit for Sentai and HIDIVE.

Held off from reading the manga, so definitely excited for the April debut.

Hirayama's designs are the main thing that keep me attracted to it.

Hopefully the anime manages to make a better impression on me than the manga did.

Bold of them to adapt a manga containing a vexxed issue about vocal idols breaking the industry's rules of forbidding relationships people want in private that is equivalent of taking a gamble of whether making a film based on the crimes committed by dangerous predators in real life.

Not going to give it a watch and besides I made up my mind on putting an end of relying too much on anime on March 29. Limiting is my option to move further on.

Back in October, I said this:

Shay Guy wrote:
Also, it just occurred to me that Rie Takahashi is a really funny choice for Ai -- she had her breakout in 2016, thanks in large part to her roles as Megumin and Emilia, two isekai waifus from series that helped kick the nascent Narou anime trend into overdrive. And Oshi no Ko's premise is basically "reincarnated into the fantastical alternate world of show business".

Yumi Uchiyama as little Aqua is even funnier.

More thoughts:

  • Casting an almost total newbie as Ruby gives me Megumi-Nakajima-as-Ranka vibes. I dig it.
  • I wasn't sure about the first key visual, but the second… yeah, they've got the twins' personalities down.
  • I'm wondering if HIDIVE is going to have to wait for episode 1's TV broadcast to stream it.
  • What were the three statements Takahashi presented to Otsuka, Igoma, and Ito to separate "truth" from "lie"? I'm still too 日本語下手 to understand that part. (Though I did see some people in the chat voting "B, for B-Komachi", and I find that logic extremely sound even if it was wrong.)

Kevin Cirugeda's reaction: "Watched the Oshi no Ko PV after seeing Kappe say that she drew a whole lot of stuff for it, and oh I see this is what happens when the excruciatingly detailed artist who supervises every shot as the norm points out that this time she *really* drew lots"

Don't care for Aqua's character design, his hair as a teen should be closer in style to his look as a toddler, IMO.
