I saw the movie with English subtitles on Imax in the Philippines and I tell you. it is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen animated. The movie is a recount of the game that was featured in the tv series. But animated amazingly. Shohoku got bad luck playing against the strongest team in Japan in the first round of the nationals, so Ryota Miyagi takes it upon himself to bring the team forward by remembering him living inside the shadow of his very talented brother. The whole movie is one game and it keeps you on the edge of your seat all over. I was cheering until the end. It is understandable why is number one in many countries that loved Slam Dunk.
