Oh, this is cool!!! It's been a while since I last hear of Michael Arias (well not counting making an appearance in Godzilla Minus One). Hoping to see how this one come out.

Wow, GKids is producing stuff now? Man, that Oscar/Ghibli money must be doing wonders for them.

You mean Toho money, considering GKIDS is under their umbrella since last year - and because Toho now involving itself even deper in the anime production and trying to expand their capacity, pocketing the money to their subsidiary for the movie that seems to go mostly to the niche artsy audience (and GKIDS is good with rolling that stuff in the US theaters) seems pretty rational.

I think stop motion does fit the honest and young subject matter. I will look forward to this great story, and I think more art should be like this!
