Whoa, OK. That's a nice announcement and that makes sense since Dark Horse holds the license to publish Star Wars comic. And that's why it kind of make sense for Dark Horse to get this manga.

Hmm... I do remember when Dark Horse released this since I had a friend who was a huge fan that had all the Star Wars manga adaptations. I've been thinking it was kinda odd that it hadn't been given a new edition in so long, but going the Kickstarter route is a little concerning.
Several recent Dark Horse manga releases have been quietly removed from storefronts after being delayed multiple times and missing their release dates. Their product entries for upcoming volumes were erased entirely from the DH website without explanation (Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service in March and MPD Psycho in April). After the shuffling of their parent company going from Embracer to Middle Earth and Friends, the recent shuttering of both the Things from Another World website and Dark Horse Digital, and those mysterious product disappearances... this first Kickstarter campaign for a major license with wide appeal and an Eisner award is raising more red flags for me than joy at the moment. |

I'm just amazed that there is a "Star Wars" manga out there, and there's a manga version of the first movie is interesting. I don't know if there's an English version around, but I'd be interested in seeing it.

Oh yeah, the publisher I boycott because they refuse to release the rest of the Eromanga Sensei manga series.

I honestly hope they go under so someone else can pick up Eromanga Sensei and release all the volumes. |

There is, for the first Trilogy and Phantom Menace, unfortunately it's out of print. So this is kinda of bittersweet. It's neat to see the original art, but would be nice to get the manga itself rereleased |

Uh Snomaster, I believe Dark Horse had previously published these Star Wars manga from the late 90's/early 2000's. |

Wouldn’t the rights lapsing accomplish the same effect minus people losing their jobs? |

There’s honestly a few Japanese Star Wars manga at this point. The Mandalorian got one, Princess Leia got one, there was one based on Star Wars Rebels, one based on that recent animated anthology, etc. |

The Star Wars manga was absolutely published in English years ago, though I'll admit the thing I remember most about it is that they botched Obi-Wan Kenobi's "an elegant weapon from a more civilized age" as "[...] from a more civilized time" ^_^; |

There are those who told me that there are "Star Wars" manga out there, and I apologize for my ignorance. I didn't know that and this is from someone who saw the original trilogy when it first came out. I heard that "Star Wars" was popular in Japan. It's good to see there is that sort of thing out there. I hope everyone forgives me for not knowing that.
