I feel like Morikawa is going to have a ton of fun with Captain Celebrity.

And this franchise's "interesting" view of America continues. Not an outright bad view, as more nationalistic works like Mahouka as well as early career Hideako Anno (comically antagonistic works like The Silent Service and Gate do not count) but not necessarily "good" either ... at best "more good than bad with plenty of bad." It is notable, though that most of the "good" seems to come from the American women and ALL of the "bad" comes from the American guys. And also that a lot of America's "good" comes from its being a place that allows and helps Japanese people like All Might, Koichi and America's current #1 hero (a woman of Japanese descent) to go there to excel. But as we saw with poor Stars and Stripes, Japan has no want or need of reciprocating. Native Son? Brutalized by Stain and killed in the final arc. (American heroes dying on behalf of Japan is good I guess?) And even with Rock Lock, they took pains to point out that he was Japanese-born (Tokushima) with a Japanese wife.

Anyways, him and Makoto Tsukauchi getting introduced this late has me thinking that this show is going to need at least 3 arcs. Wonder how long it will take and if the ratings/merchandise hold up that long. Despite all of the internet chatter over how much better Vigilantes (source material) is than the main series - though I would imagine that the vast majority of that chatter is from adult Americans and not Japanese in the target demo - shows about high schoolers are way more popular than those about college students, and this is the case for both shonen and seinen.

There are statements that the whole manga will be adapted in two cours.

Captain Celebrity has depth to him once you peel back the surface.

What the hell are you talking about? It sounds like you're just making shit up and trying to make it seem like MHA has some sort of political agenda against America despite evidence to the contrary. And also a lot of the things that you pointed out are just flat out false. First of all they never confirmed whether Native was Japanese or American. And secondly Rock Lock has always been %100 percent Japanese, neither the manga nor any of the supplementary material ever imply that he was American.

And lastly where the hell did you get the idea that all of the "bad" comes from the American men? Did you forget about the ALL MALE squadron of fighter pilots that accompanied Star and Stripe? Anyways your comment has been one of the dumbest most nonsensical comments I have ever had to debunk on this site.
