Ah, so this is why so many volumes of the manga were available for free on cmoa.jp lately so I could (re)read with zero investment (read the web novel on narou years ago).
The series is nothing special, really, the whole laidback overpowered gatherer trope is a dime a dozen in isekai light novels. It's got a few trope subversions here and there, and it leans more into wholesome territory than creep territory, which is a win in my book, but what you see on the tin is very much what you're gonna get.
Though I do hope they keep the scene where the first thing he does when he realises he's taller now is check if he's... proportionate, because let's be real, if you're getting a new body, you're gonna wonder about that.
