Man, Discotek panels are always peak.

My personal favorites are Project ARMS (always wanted to see it), Zegapain (same), Zone of the Enders(again, same), and the second Digimon movie collection (I’ve waited years for these). We just need one more Digimon movie collection, in theory.

I wasn't sure how Urotsukidouji's first release would do, but I'm happy to get the sequels as well~ I'm sorry for the people involved who may have had to work on an ero-anime release and didn't like it, but your efforts have gone noticed and I was really happy with the first release, so I'm definitely picking this up. ^^

I'm also super happy about the Keroro movies! Keroro isn't really plot-heavy, but the plots around the movies often tie into episodes of the show and even the manga, so they're absolutely central to the series' experience. I have their entire series of releases, so I was kinda waiting for this one before jumping into a rewatch. I love movie 3~
Also, I hope they put Dororo on the spine to round out the cast. The [unintended?] joke about him being the only one missing is funny, but I'll be glad to have him there on my shelf regardless.

I kinda want them to add the mini Keroro flash series into the mix, but it's probably too short to stand on its own. ):

Lastly, Digimon was practically expected in time, but it's nice to have confirmation. Again, definite purchase.

Discotek is my favorite company releasing in the West and in Japan by far. They do so much to please the people who care the most about releases of older series. It doesn't feel cheap, and the passion for the medium shines through. It makes this older gal happy~ Thank you to all involved. These announcement events are always super exciting~

Oh my God, Monster finally! And Shin-chan, so I don't have to pay several hundred dollars on eBay for the last half season.

And a new Cagliostro dub with the main English cast?! This is insane.

Happy to get more Digimon movies! I was hoping that "collection 1" wouldn't just be left hanging! Also hoping this means we'll get more Digimon seasons in the future, my collector heart needs it.

Also always wanted to see Zegapain, but the DVDs were hard to find used and rather expensive back in the day.

Wonder what else is left in Bandai's grave that's worth taking out? Fantastic Children for sure (even if the dub is god-awful Aniplex Asia dub), Toward the Terra (also has an Aniplex dub, but that never came out over here), Android Kikaider, Argento-soma, Infinite Ryvius, Blue Sub 6, Betterman, Silent Mobius, and Flag (but that might be a bit, uh, touchy at the moment).

Picking up Shin Chan and Golden Boy day one! The fact that Doug did the artwork for the release is icing on the cake. Also Overfiend squeals when budget allows.

I was hoping for the 90's version of Hell Teacher Nube and The Slayers but I don't think I'll ever get the latter because I heard the masters were lost.

January till the next show/stream.

Only downside for me is the Lupin re-re-release isn't 4K or HDR.

No, these movies (plus the Frontier movie) were dubbed pretty much uncut back in the mid-00s & aired on TV a few times, but never got a physical release over here until now.

Overall this is a very solid selection of licenses, with some titles I'm definitely going to get ASAP (especially Monster & Zone of the Enders).

I know I already posted but this Monster rescue has been so many years in the making. I even went so far as to track down the Australian Siren Visual DVD release from an eBay seller because Viz only ever put out the first 15 episodes. Hard to believe we're finally getting it for real.

Regarding Castle of Cagliostro, the news of this third dub was known for months since Michelle Ruff and Richard Epcar leaked the news (similar to how Part 4's dub was first revealed) and it was originally assumed that TMS USA was involved since they were responsible for Part 1 getting a dub for the show's 50th Anniversary while Cagliostro is currently in it's 45th (it doesn't end until December).

Looking at the cast & staff list though, it looks like this wasn't their doing and Discotek paid for it themselves making it their fourth Lupin dub (the others were by TMS except Legend of the Gold of Babylon, Blood Seal of the Eternal Mermaid & Episode 0: First Contact) so that's pretty insane. Makes me wonder when they'll eventually get to Green Vs. Red since that was the actual winner of their poll.

They sadly won't be able to touch stuff like Terra, Flag, or the Kikaider anime because those are all Aniplex shows. Plus they already put out Blue Sub on blu-ray, though a re-release would be nice since it is outta print. I do hope they're able to get and release Fantastic Children, Argento, Infinite Ryvius, and Betterman at some point though!

The original airings has Jeff Nimoy, Jason Spisak and Yuri Lowenthall as Gabumon, Tai and Kai respectively - they didn't draw any attention to it, but the clips shown definitely have Kirk Thornton, Joshua Seth and Brian Donovan reprising their TV roles while the other characters + music are still from the original dub.

Even though I'm only buying Digimon myself this had to be one of the best Discotek days in a good minute - Golden Boy, Monster finally licensed, more Sgt Frog after they said they were done with the property, and Lupin movie redubs are pretty crazy.

The Cagliostro dub was a missed opportunity to get some names involved as the non-Lupin gang characters. I'm sure quite a few actors would've jumped at the chance to work on Miyazaki's first feature (Mark Hamill anyone?). It would've been pricey, but I'm sure TMS, GKIDS, and Discotek working together could've made it work. The other dubs (especially the Animaze one) are just fine BTW.
