Wait, the description of the series is weird.
In the manga there is nothing about her mother discovering her book ( though if it is an official change I have a theory why). What happens is that the mc forgets about it has a relatively normal life and dies as a much older working adult and this is important hence why I am surprised by the change.

That actually does happen at the very beginning of the manga, although her mom finding it is such a small thing that I'm surprised the description bothers to mention it.

Imagine instead of getting reincarnated into an Otome game you get reincarnated into your Otome fanfic...and end up in the slammer anyways.
