The Halloween arc has to be one of the craziest arcs I've ever seen. I've never seen so many plottwist in an arc that play with the audience. Some characters are impossible to predict because of whatever is going on secretly. Still, I never saw Kudo as a guy who can defeat the the Organization all by himself so the addition of new supporting character helps but they don't seem like they had too much screentime. Probably, the most surprising part I have seen is when they show Kudo's mother outta nowhere.

I wonder what inspired have a different studio from the movies dub over the redub of the television anime.
Like there was at least some carryover with the Miami Conan dub but then you have an entirely new cast here.
The new cast is great but as someone who also enjoys the Bang Zoom dub of the movies, I would've appreciated more vocal consistency.

If I had to suspect/speculate the reason, it was either creative differences or money. More than likely both.

I do kind of prefer the new dub if only because some of the voices fit better. Agasa’s voice always stood out in the movies because it just didn’t seem to fit the character so in that respect I definitely prefer the new dub.
It looks like more episodes are coming November 1st and based off other regions it’s possible this batch will cover some of the in between cases. If so I do hope they provide a way to watch the episodes in order so that people aren’t stuck jumping around.

The dub is good. I'll live if they just continue dubbing "important" episodes only.

I appreciate how the new Agasa is trying to channel the old Funimation Agasa but I like how Bang Zoom Agasa really feels like a kindly old grandpa.

I know people want more dubbed episodes. But this selection is probably the best way to start it. It's really hard to recommend this series with its lack of availability and long episode counts. It's very wordy. You have to pay attention otherwise the deduction won't work.
As a non-dub person, this is a really good dub. Even if the movies and TV episodes get different dubs, I am okay. I just want the franchise to be more accessible to a wider audience, and more dubs will do it.
I don't think Conan will blow up the way other series will or reach the level remotely close to what it's like in Japan. But at least TMS Entertainment puts in more effort and the franchise can grow in the future. It sure has lots of room to grow.

Speaking of the new dub I wonder if they plan to use the new actors for future movies. I believe we’re still waiting on a release of Movie 27. Movie 28 as well but it will be awhile since that only recently released in Japan.

Black Submarine had the Bang Zoom cast (albeit with Xanthe Huynh replacing Erica Mendez as Ai Haibara).
I think they also had a questionnaire with the movie with whether they'd like the movies to stay with the same dub cast.
I feel like TMS is maybe angling that Nano is "classic" Conan while Bang Zoom is "modern" Conan.

I wish the voices were consistent but imo the tone for both cast are around the same range.

I don't think a lot of people realize this, but a 2nd Collection is coming. If you visit Netflix, it says Collection 2 will start being released November 1. So a 2nd Collection is coming. I'm hoping it's Conan vs. Kaito Kid or an introduction of characters from the Police Arc that are undercover in The Black Organization, but TMS hasn't released anything else on it yet.

There's already a leaked list of episodes for it.
