Oh, this is unexpected. As a gender bender fan I know the manga. Aside from that it makes me feel good that older titles can still be given an adaptation.

Oh my F***ing god, my favourite manga finally gets an anime. Only took forty years but better late than never.
If this gets decent budget this could a crazy fun adaptation.

Another 10+ volume Jump manga. Not Weekly Jump but it has the pirate on the cover. If your Jump manga with no anime was published after the 70s (and sometimes even then), has a volume count approaching double digits and the author isn´t cancelled or broke contact with Shueisha, then simply wait your turn. Where are my long-form Masanori Morita anime? The children yearn for the deslinquents!
Mr. Fullswing having no anime with 24 WSJ volumes is noticeable. I put my money there. And on Zombiepowder, canceled or not. Black Angels I am betting against as it is the edgiest WSJ manga of all time. The 80s were a different planet.

This is a neat surprise. I've never actually tried reading Mr. Clice, but I have skimmed over parts of the manga here & there & it looks to be a fun little series, with an interesting aspect being that eventually Clice stops really fretting about now being a woman, & occasionally someone will effectively ask him "Didn't you want to return to being a man?".
Also, despite dating back to late 1985, the vast majority of Mr. Clice is actually only from the past decade. Originally the manga was made on a very irregular basis, so the first volume didn't come out until 1989, Volume 2 in 1992, & Volumes 3 to 5 between 2001 & 2003. It wasn't until Kochikame ended in 2016 that Akimoto actually returned to Mr. Clice with any sort of regularity, so Volumes 6 to 14 are all from 2017 to now.
