Kamiina Botan is my most anticipated show for next season. It’s a yuri SOL about sharing the things you love (booze, movies, music, fashion, hiking, etc.) with the people you love. Fitting that Soigne, the studio that animated the spiritual successor of Yuru Camp’s first two seasons’ mono, is now helming what I consider the spiritual successor to Yama No Susume. For my fellow sakuga nerds, the production team is staffed with alums from YnS and Do It Yourself!! Even the VA cast is stacked, which I’ll let be a surprise for those who want to go digging. Should be a lot of fun and ideal Friday "wind down the week" show.

I'm hoping James get this one because in addition to aforementioned production, one of the characters is a cinephile and another is into bands like The Smiths. Hopefully they'll be able to make direct mentions of the directors, films and other bands like they do in the manga.

Super excited for Dorohedoro S2, just really hoping the art doesn't change too much.

I’m praying that Liar Game’s anime adaptation does the manga justice, the psychological warfare was very edge of your seat in the manga. I also hope people who find protagonist Nao to be annoying stick around, her character development is pretty satisfying.

Mahiru? No one? Sad

Anyway, reading Rebecca on Witch Hat makes me wonder two things:
1) Can the guys at Bug Films maintain high quality throughout all episodes? (I read somewhere that they’ve finished animating everything, but I’m not sure if that’s true.)
2) Will Crunchyroll release the Blu-ray? (Seeing their upcoming release lineup, nope.)

I'm going to put season 2 of Dorohedoro on the backburner for now because I want to re-watch season 1 before watching season 2. It's been so long since I've watched the first season I've forgotten a lot of the details. I remember enjoying it enough at the time that now there is more content available it's worth revisiting. It's just time is an issue with all the other things I'm currently watching.

I was thinking it would be nice if the premiere dates were provided in the details of the most anticipated series list. Re:Zero is the one I'm looking forward to the most and I was wondering how many weeks away the premiere is.

Ok, I was starting to wonder if I missed the release schedule for JoJo since none of the reivews I looked at mentioned one despite going up a day before the episode hit Netflix. At this point, I'm less concerned with how they release it and more with knowing. Stone Ocean was also handled strangely with batch 2 of the episodes showing up a year after batch 1, but then batch 3 was three months.

I'm probably not going to bother checking netflix every week to see if another episode just happens to be there.

A lot of my most anticipated titles are on that list. Last season's most anticipated titles list was a life-saver for me. I hadn't planned on checking out You and I Are Polar Opposites because I'm down on school rom-coms these days, but it popped up on the anticipated list so I reluctantly decided to give it a shot. Thank God. Turned out to be one of my faves of the season and probably for the year.

Reading Rebecca's preview of Witch Hat Atelier, I'm suddenly reminded of The Stories of Girls Who Couldn't Be Magicians, which I dropped partway through and forgot to finish. I hope this one holds my interest better.

Its a super common story, like its 90% identical to little witch academia and plenty of others anime and not. Heck there's another show this very season with a very similar premise (although seemingly much lower production value).

Seems like this season is really sequel focused. Suprised Yomi no tsugai isn't on the list. Or "legally distinct Inuyasha".

Just from reading premise on anichart, maybe Hidarikiki no Eren could be interesting? I know NIPPON SANGOKU, just because Kevin Pekin is doing the OST, so I'll give that a shoot (but the synopsis is not giving me hope).

There are a few I'm interested in but the Bookworms Wit adaptation is the one I am most looking forward to. Not just because of the improved visuals ;but this part of the light novels is where the story really takes off in my opinion. Also some of my favourite characters are introduced in this part.

One thing that gives me pause is that there isn't really enough material to cover twelve full episodes of anime, even if they incorporate the sequel volume. They may need to create anime-only episodes to cover the full run.

I got to see the pre-screened episodes at anime NYC, and there was plenty of original scenes. My memory isn't the best anymore but I believe the first episode only covered the first two chapters (which is only 15 pages overall), but it felt very well paced. I really really hope the rest of the series keeps up the quality from those two episodes!

Aside from Nakamura, my most anticipated anime are Mao and Akane-banashi. I've read the manga for all three and they're some of my favorites

Besides what's already mentioned in the article, looking forward to Mahou no Shimai Lulutto Lilly as Pierrot's big return to magical girls (though it seems increasingly doubtful that any streaming service is going to pick it up). Kirio Fanclub is the appreciated crumb of Josei for the season despite how it'll probably be overlooked unless people start memeing about the premise, and I hope Ramparts of Ice can deliver a solid 1-2 punch after a lovely adaptation for You and I Are Polar Opposites

But the most slept on here are IMO A Hundred Scenes of Awajima (which only gets a brief allusion about "budget" here) and 4 Seasons (which doesn't get mentioned at all). Will be shocked if Leaf and Asaka don't deliver some of the most standout work of the whole season

This season is going to be packed for me and it hasn't even started. Between sequel seasons like Re:zero and adaptations for manga I'm reading like Akane Banashi, I'm already up to nearly 20 titles Anime dazed

Nice to see Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku on this list as that is a great one that people might pass over based on the title.

I'll give a nod to The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt, which I've found to be a pretty enjoyable rom com.

For non-sequel, non-adaptations I've already read, Ghost Concert would probably be near the top of my list since Symphogear was so great.

I think it's gotten a lot easier to follow now that they have a dedicated "what's airing in this season" page: animenewsnetwork.com/season/2026/spring/
